Private-Pay Practice
Why John Davis Counseling Is a Private-Pay Practice
John Davis Counseling has chosen to remain independent from insurance companies in order to provide a higher level of personalized care and protect client confidentiality.
Many insurance plans require therapists to assign a mental health diagnosis, submit treatment information, and follow predetermined guidelines regarding the length and frequency of care. By operating as a private-pay practice, therapy can remain focused on your unique goals rather than insurance requirements.
Benefits of a private-pay practice include:
For clients with out-of-network mental health benefits, a superbill can be provided for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by insurance plan, so it is recommended that you contact your insurance provider directly to determine your eligibility.
Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved exclusively for each client. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee.
This policy helps ensure appointment availability for all clients while respecting the time reserved for your care.
