John Davis is marriage, family and relationship specialist. An expert in personality disorders, especially Narcissistic Personality Disorder in men , he is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a boutique private practice in downtown Delray Beach, FL. His unique focus on building and repairing relationships, especially families, some with addiction issues. He brings a special perspective that often brings quick and satisfying results. John skillfully guides couples and individuals impacted by life stressors such as aging and infidelity, especially related to alcoholism, substance abuse and personality disorders.

He is a veteran with first hand experience managing couples and relationship issues, especially those related to substance and pattern addiction and disordered thinking and behavior. His main goal is helping clients live with greater awareness of the present, free of destructive self judgment at their personal best in all areas of their lives.
John is a graduate of The University of Georgia at Athens, obtaining his Master’s Degree from The University of West Georgia at Carrolton. He completed a three year residency at The Samaritan Center of South Florida in Fort Lauderdale, a non-profit, faith-based, non-denominational counseling center. John’s career as a psychotherapist spans an eclectic blend of personal development methodologies, including including Gestalt, Psychodrama, Cognitive Behavioral and Acceptance Commitment as well as a variety of hypnosis methodologies, including Rapid Trauma Resolution and Eriksonian Hypnotherapy. John is a certified EMDR practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients, guided by the groundbreaking EMDR work of Dr Francine Shapiro and Dr Bessel Van der Kolk, MD. A lifelong student of meditation, John incorporates mindfulness-based practices into all his work. He is currently President of the Mental Health Counselor’s Association of Palm Beach, a Delray Beach based non-profit dedicated to serving the interests of mental health professionals in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties.
